Due to the COVID-19 outbreak, the Shanghai government has decided to hold the 2020 World Artificial Intelligence Conference (WAIC) online from July 9 to 11.

With the theme of "Intelligent Connectivity, Indivisible Community", the conference will be a "high-level, international, professional, market-oriented, and intelligent" platform, which will attract the most influential AI scientists and entrepreneurs around the world as well as many government leaders.

In line with the growing trend of the online new economy and digital exhibitions, this year's conference will hold various interactive activities, such as a short video contest and topic collection, on new media such as Bilibili, Himalaya FM, iQiYi, Tencent and Zhihu.

In addition, the conference will have a virtual image, hoping to attract more post-90s and post-00s attendees, and shorten the distance between the conference and ordinary people.

As a top platform for AI cooperation and exchanges, WAIC aims to become both an academic meeting widely recognized by professionals and an international event in the AI industry with global standards and influence.
