Zhu Yi, born in April 1975, with an on-the-job postgraduate law degree, began working in August 1997. Of Han ethnicity, she hails from Shanghai and is a member of the CPC. Zhu is currently deputy-director of Shanghai Municipal Commission of Commerce.
She is mainly responsible for regulation of market operation, overall coordination and promotion of China International Import Expo, and foreign economic cooperation. She is in charge of the Market Operation Regulation Division (Shanghai Non-staple Food Administration Office), the China International Import Expo Coordination Division, the Foreign Economic Cooperation Division, and the Municipal Overseas Rescue Service Center (Municipal Foreign Economic and Technological Exchange Center). She is also one of the commission's news spokespersons.
