Even as the 4th China International Import Expo – held in East China's Shanghai on Nov 5-10 – dropped its curtains, its spirit continues to live on with the CIIE Fair, a permanent offshoot that is a popular shopping and tourism spot in the city.

At the CIIE Fair, located on Shanghai's Nanjing Road pedestrian mall, there is a cornucopia of wares to sample and try out from the four corners of the world. There are salt lamps from Pakistan, 3D-print bags from the United States, cashmere scarfs from Mongolia and manuka honey products from New Zealand, among other delights that are said to be very well received by visitors.

According to officials from the CIIE Fair, it gathered more than 5,000 products from 40 countries and regions. And most of these products were being exhibited at the CIIE only a few days ago.

The fair also serves up international cuisine and cultural performances, creating a diverse platform for culture and people-to-people exchanges.
