The ECF Exhibitors Online Global Trade Fair series of activities was held in Shanghai on Nov 26.

Known as a bellwether for foreign trade, East China Fair, or ECF, is the largest regional trade fair in China and boasts the highest number of traders, the greatest variety of exhibits, and the most onsite deals.

Guided by the Shanghai Municipal Commission of Commerce, ECF teamed up with the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (ICBC) Shanghai branch for the first time to help domestic and foreign merchants connect online through the event, effectively shortening the amount of time needed for trade consultations, negotiations, and the placement of a trial order.

The event consisted of three matchmaking activities for exhibitors – the Southeast Asia special activity, Japan and South Korea special activity and the European and American special activity.

The Hong Kong Trade Development Council, Shanghai Pudong Chamber of International Commerce, various other business associations, 47 foreign trade enterprises in Shanghai and 65 overseas buyers participated in the matchmaking activities.

In addition, ECF and the ICBC Shanghai branch signed a memorandum of cooperation at the event.

The two sides will join hands to help consolidate the global industrial chain and broaden international trade cooperation channels for domestic firms.
