The Shanghai International Culture Relic and Artwork Trade Center was launched on March 2 at the Museum of Art Pudong, in the city of Shanghai in East China.

The center is the outcome of a pilot reform of nongovernmental cultural relics administration in Shanghai, which was initiated by the National Cultural Heritage Administration and the Shanghai municipal government.

The center is scheduled to establish a functional platform integrating exhibitions, trade, services and the management of international cultural relics and artworks – in a bid to stimulate the cultural relics and artworks market.

It is also understood that, starting in the current year, the China International Culture Relic and Artwork Trade Expo will be held at the Museum of Art Pudong from Oct 26 to 28 every year.
