New Mercedes-Benz R&D center launched in Shanghai to boost innovation

The new Mercedes-Benz Research & Development Center in East China's Shanghai city was launched on July 25 and Zhu Yi, deputy director of the Shanghai Municipal Commission of Commerce and Oliver Löcher, senior executive vice-president of Daimler Greater China Investment Co Ltd, attended the opening ceremony.
The center will be an important part of the global R&D system of Mercedes-Benz. It will focus on R&D and the innovation of autonomous driving and intelligent interconnections and facilitate Mercedes-Benz's electrification and intelligent transformation strategy in China.
The company expects more future products from Mercedes-Benz to be comprehensively engineered, tested and verified in China, which will further speed up the pace for it to launch new models in the market.
