The 2022 Oriental Beauty Valley International Cosmetics Conference opened in the Fengxian district of Shanghai city in East China on Nov 9, attracting the participation of many leading international cosmetics enterprises – including L'Oreal, Shiseido and Amore Pacific.

At the conference, the Oriental Beauty Valley International Partner Alliance was launched. The alliance aims at creating a new platform for international trade and commercial exchanges in the cosmetics sector, attracting established cosmetics brands from home and abroad and supporting the push by Chinese cosmetics to go global.

Approved by the China National Intercultural Property Administration, the first national intellectual property rights or IPR service center for cosmetics is scheduled to settle in Fengxian district.

Xu Lai, director of the Shanghai Medical Products Administration, said at the opening ceremony that China's cosmetics industry was growing rapidly while its structure was continuing to be optimized. Xu added that it was important to enhance the rule of law in the industry.

The 2022 Oriental Beauty Valley Blue Paper was also released at the conference.

The Oriental Beauty Valley International Cosmetics Conference has been held for four times now. It has become one of the events with the highest level of participation and interest in the cosmetics industry.
