Xinghualou – the oldest Cantonese-style restaurant in Shanghai and one of the city's most iconic multi-outlet dining brands – has launched an exciting promotion, running from Oct 8 through Nov 30.

During the campaign, customers who dine at any of Xinghualou's 25 participating locations will receive a 100-yuan ($14.13) coupon for every 300 yuan spent on a meal.

The coupons are valid for in-store use until the end of the year, with 20 million yuan worth of coupons due to be distributed.

The coupons can also be combined with the city's recently introduced Le Pin Shanghai dining coupons – offering diners even greater savings.

The promotion is part of a broader effort to boost consumer spending on services and to stimulate local demand. It's regarded as being a key strategy for unlocking overall consumer spending.

Recent coupon initiatives, including the Le Pin Shanghai coupons, have been well-received and Xinghualou hopes the new campaign will draw more customers while supporting the local economy.

A Xinghualou spokesperson said that coupon giveaways during previous shopping festivals were a hit with diners.

This time, the brand plans to distribute 200,000 coupons, each worth 100 yuan, with no restrictions on how they can be used.

Customers have already provided very positive feedback, with one diner saying the promotion motivated him to order more to take advantage of the deal.
