Global brands unveil new products at 7th CIIE in Shanghai

At the recently concluded 7th China International Import Expo, several global brands with a presence in the Huangpu district of East China's Shanghai showed off their latest premium products, highlighting impressive innovation and collaboration.

Penfolds

Leading Australian wine brand Penfolds marked its 180th anniversary and its fifth consecutive appearance at the expo. It introduced a new brand identity and presented wines from top-producing regions like Australia, the United States, France, and China.

Notable highlights included a limited-edition "Year of the Snake" gift box and a collaboration with Japanese designer Nigo.

Penfolds has also deepened its partnerships with Chinese producers to promote local wines. Tom King, managing director of Penfolds, expressed confidence in China's market potential and emphasized the importance of collaboration to boost the local wine industry.

Amgen

California-headquartered Amgen – one of the international leaders in biotechnology – returned to the expo in style with a real focus on innovation. It introduced six new products targeting various health issues, such as cardiovascular disease and rare medical conditions.

Among these was Tavneos for ANCA-associated vasculitis, as well as Tepezza for thyroid eye disease. Amgen's Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Robert Bradway, highlighted China's role as a significant growth engine for the biotech sector and reaffirmed the group's commitment to long-term development in the country.

NTT Sonority

Japanese company NTT Sonority debuted its flagship open-ear headphones – called nwm ONE – at the expo.

These headphones utilize proprietary technology to create what it calls a "Personalized Sound Zone", allowing users to enjoy music while remaining aware of their surroundings.

CEO Hiroshi Sakai noted the vibrant potential of the Chinese market and voiced plans to introduce more innovative audio products in the future.
