The 3rd Shanghai Hamburg Business Forum opens in Shanghai
The 3rd Shanghai Hamburg Business Forum was held on Aug 26 in Shanghai.
This year's event, co-sponsored by Shanghai Commission of Commerce and Hamburg Chamber of Commerce, focused on the theme of "smart city innovation in the metropolitan area".
More than 100 representatives from companies related to logistics, artificial intelligence, life sciences and biomedicine from Shanghai and Hamburg attended the forum.
The forum serves as a comprehensive platform for renewal of a memorandum of cooperation signed by Shanghai Commission of Commerce and Hamburg Chamber of Commerce in April 2019.
Yang Zhao, deputy director of Shanghai Commission of Commerce said that Shanghai and Hamburg are sister cities, and this relationship plays a pivotal role in investment and trade between China and Germany.
Peter Tschentscher, first mayor of Hamburg, said that the high-level delegation from Hamburg, consisting of 50 entrepreneurs and opinion leaders in politics, economy and science and leaders of entrepreneurs, aimed to better explore trade cooperation between the two cities.
The two places will actively explore and expand new cooperation areas and models on the basis of the existing cooperative relations.
