An annual exchange and cooperation activity among regional and State-level economic development zones along the Yangtze River Economic Belt was held in Shanghai Sept 26.

Nearly 100 participants and representatives from the Ministry of Commerce and 36 national development zones took part in the event. 

Zhu Bing, an official from the Ministry of Commerce, participated in the event and gave an introduction about the main measures to enhance the innovation and development of the national economic development zones, and put forward suggestions on strengthening industrial cooperation between the eastern and western regions. In addition, officials from Jiangsu and Sichuan provinces and Chongqing made exchanges and gave speeches at the event.

A signing ceremony was held during the event, with 36 representatives from the development zones signing a petition aiming to develop better cohesion between policies, industries, capital, technologies, talents and resources to provide high-quality comprehensive services.

The annual event has become an important way to implement the development strategy of the Yangtze River Economic Belt and to promote exchanges and cooperation between the east and west national economic development zones.

The exchange and cooperation activity will play a key role in promoting orderly transfer of eastern and western State-level development zone industries.
