A training class in statistics of trade in services was held in Shanghai Nov 22, in a bid to implement relevant provisions on these international statistics.

The 120 participants included people in charge of municipal commercial departments from various districts and representatives of key enterprises in service trade associations in the city.

Statistics of service trade is a basic means of promoting the development of service trade. Effective statistical data can provide analyses for accurately grasping the new characteristics and trends in the development of service trade, and provide bases for decision making basis in the scientific formulation of service trade promotion policies.

In the next step, the Shanghai Municipal Commission of Commerce will continue to improve the understanding of the importance of service trade statistics among government departments and related enterprises in the city.
