Major projects signed in Shanghai FTZ Lin-gang Special Area

The management committee of the Lin-gang Special Area of the China (Shanghai) Pilot Free Trade Zone launched its industry map and held a signing ceremony for major projects on Nov 28.

Seven major industrial projects involving investment of more than 15 billion yuan ($2.13 billion) were added to the area.

According to the industry map released, the special area focuses on seven frontier industries of integrated circuits, artificial intelligence, biomedicine, aerospace, new energy vehicles, equipment manufacturing and green remanufacturing.

Meanwhile, in the fields of finance, trade, shipping and other services, the area focuses on the development of new international trade and services in cross-border financing, shipping, information and scientific and technological innovation.

Since its establishment on August 20, the Lin-gang Special Area has received extensive attention and enthusiastic participation from all walks of life. To date, more than 90 projects have been signed and implemented.

In addition, the Lin-gang special area investment promotion service center was officially launched during the ceremony. Under the leadership of the management committee, the center will be responsible for the investment promotion services in the special area, including investment promotion and talent and enterprise services.
