The second China International Import Expo (CIIE), which ran in Shanghai from Nov 5 to 10, attracted great attention from home and abroad.

With the continuous improvement of the market, the rule of law and the international business environment, many exhibitors felt more confident about doing business in China.

The 2019 Chile cherry international launch ceremony on the Tmall online retail platform was held on Nov 6 at the Chile pavilion of the CIIE.

"After the first CIIE, sales of Chile cherries in China increased by 50 percent," said Chile's ambassador to China, Luis Schmidt.

Doterra, an American essential oil company, rented a booth of only nine square meters at the first CIIE, and at this year's exhibition its area expanded to 108 sq m. And over the past year the company has opened factories and oil stores in Shanghai's Fengxian district, Guangdong's Shenzhen and Zhejiang's Hangzhou.

Wework, also from the United States, provides shared office space. Since the first CIIE, it has added more than 20 offices in China.

China's investment environment is attracting businessmen from all over the world. An open and inclusive Chinese market with huge potential has made foreign companies willing to look for opportunities for win-win cooperation and common development.
