The corporate headquarters economy is booming in Hongqiao district, Shanghai, with a total number of 289 headquarters settling in the district.

They include 16 Fortune Global Top 500 companies, 27 regional headquarters with foreign capital, 121 headquarters or functional headquarters and regional headquarters of domestic and foreign listed enterprises, and 125 headquarters of industry leading enterprises.

The plan recently released by the city's municipal government clearly proposed that the Hongqiao Central Business District (CBD) should focus on headquarters economy, exhibition economy, platform economy and digital economy, to emerge as an international open hub, central business district and new trade platform.

This is very important guidance and support for the Hongqiao CBD in further improving its headquarters economy and advancing its ability to coordinate international and domestic markets and resources.
