ENN's micro gas turbine research and development (R&D) base laid its foundation on Oct 18, which marks the start of industrial project construction in Lin-gang Special Area.

The project is based on the first industrial plot sold after the establishment of Lin-gang Special Area. The construction period for the base is about 24 months.

The ENN micro gas turbine R&D base, with a total construction area of 37,000 square meters and an investment of 450 million yuan ($64.35 million), will be used for R&D of gas turbines and the industrial manufacturing of 600 kilowatts and 1.5 megawatt gas turbines.

With the help of relevant departments, ENN has obtained four key licenses for the landing of this industrial project in five days, including the Construction Land Planning Permit, Permit for the Use of Land for Construction Purposes, the Construction Project Planning Permit, and the Construction Permit. Two years later, the annual output of the base will reach 1,000 units with an annual output value of six billion yuan.

Wang Limin, general manager of ENN, said that a series of preferential policies had been issued after the establishment of Lin-gang Special Area, which are competitive in talent attraction, tax support, financial support, housing and supporting facilities and services, and will greatly promote the future development of the company.

"We have already experienced Lin-gang's efficiency. We are confident. We are looking forward to the company's development into one of the world's leading gas turbine suppliers with the help of Lin-gang, and in turn to contribute to Lin-gang's development into a world-class advanced manufacturing industry cluster," Wang said.
