An agriculture products booth from Zunyi in Southwest China's Guizhou province made its debut at a local food market in Shanghai on Dec 28.

Delicacies from Zunyi – a mountainous area known for chickens, fruit and local distinctive seasonings – are now on a "through train" for sale in the Chinese metropolis.

"In response to the government's call, we will provide the booth free for three years," said Zuo Dajiang, the person in charge of the market. The booth, with a total area of 20 square meters, will be positioned at the market's entrance.

The municipal government requires action by "100 stores, 100 counters"; meaning settlement of agricultural products in 100 community stores in the corresponding areas and establishment of sales counters in 100 standardized vegetable farms.

The Shanghai Municipal Government has spared no efforts to deepen poverty alleviation cooperation with regions like Zunyi to promote adjustment of the agricultural industry structure and rural revitalization.

"According to the plan, from 2020 to 2022, we will set up 50 Zunyi-featured agricultural product display booths and 100 designated points of sale in Shanghai," said Xu Jiangfeng, deputy director of the Zunyi Commerce Commission.
