Shanghai to welcome commercial upgrades on Nanjing Road
A business association on Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street in Shanghai, aiming to promote commercial upgrades, was inaugurated on Dec 30.
The association will use the international first-class operating experience of the commercial district to fully mobilize market enthusiasm, integrate all kinds of resources from home and abroad, and, as a marketing voice, promote transformation of the Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street, said Chen Yong, the chairman of the association.
The association will specifically promote the work in six aspects:
First, improve commercial functions of the Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street
The association will cooperate with the government to revise the "comprehensive management measures of pedestrian streets in Shanghai" and compile guidelines for shops along the street by building an overall investment platform, promoting the establishment of brands and business guidance, and improving the quality of the businesses.
Second, create a commercial atmosphere in the neighborhood
In combination with important festivals and shopping seasons, the association will regularly organize businesses to carry out overall marketing activities so as to create an exclusive shopping season consistent with the characteristics of the pedestrian street.
The association will promote pilot projects and establish relevant evaluation mechanisms to improve the street's commercial atmosphere.
Third, form a characteristic cultural atmosphere
The association will adopt public spaces such as building balconies and strengthen the link between commercial activity and cultural heritage. It will also create web celebrity places for cos-players.
Fourth, improve overall services
Responsibility for commodity quality shall be implemented, service quality shall be improved and the construction of the business integrity system shall be further strengthened so that benchmarks of business service are set up.
Fifth, improve the smart application
The association will consider 5G as an opportunity to optimize data and information services, and establish smart service standards.
Sixth, carry out marketing promotion
Lastly, the association will enhance its IP culture, cooperating with famous global brands and activities to expand the influence of Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street. With the assistance of the official website, and other new media channels, it will release the latest trends of block brands and activities and significantly improve attention paid to the pedestrian street by various social sectors.
