Innovation key to economic resilience in Pudong
A symposium on ways to improve economic resilience in private enterprises was held in Zhangjiang Science City in Pudong New Area, Shanghai on Dec 30.
The symposium invited five renowned private entrepreneurs in Pudong from different industries, including smart manufacturing. Participants spoke about the current situations of "hardcore" industries in Pudong and the development of private enterprises, and shared opinions and suggestions. In addition, representatives from participating private entrepreneurs expressed their commitment to improve enterprise vitality and promote economic development.
Pudong had earlier launched plans to further support private enterprises by stimulating innovation with the assistance of the Shanghai Federation of Industry and Commerce and maximizing the functional advantages of non-public economic entities.
The plans are intended to convey confidence in the area's development, stimulate innovation vitality, and gather momentum for Pudong's private business sector.
