Putuo focuses on optimizing Shanghai's business environment

An investment promotion conference aimed at optimizing Shanghai's business environment was held in Putuo district, Shanghai on Jan 3.

Officials of the district, persons in charge of each community and town and representatives from key enterprises in Putuo participated in the conference.

To optimize the relationship between the district and key industries, and between key enterprises and the system of attracting investment, Putuo set up seven investment groups, with the head and deputy head of the district acting as group leaders.

"We want to make investment promotion and capital introduction and optimization of the business environment a top priority of the current work. In addition, industries and enterprises can expect to receive more attention from us to help them to solve operational problems and form a new pattern of investment with all members involved," said Jiang Dongdong, head of Putuo district.

Putuo district will strive to optimize the project coordination and promotion mechanism relying on the key project promotion system, improve the accuracy of project research and judgment, and strengthen project classification and promotion.

The district will also explore and innovate ways and means of attracting investment. Centered on the major investments and based on a major platform, the investment group will explore a chain to attract businesses by improving financial and other key industries, promoting formation of industrial agglomerations and boosting regional transformation. 

The conference also launched a reforming plan for further establishing a business-friendly atmosphere. In order to help enterprises with their applications, Putuo will simplify business processes across different departments and levels.
