Lin-gang Special Area of China (Shanghai) Pilot Free Trade Zone was granted the title of National Foreign Trade Transformation and Upgrading Base (Auto and Parts) by the Ministry of Commerce and Shanghai International Service Trade Demonstration Base by the Shanghai Commission of Commerce on Jan 2.
According to Shanghai Commission of Commerce, the demonstration title highlights the special area's advantages in information, elements and resources gathering and will help to accelerate the development of service trade in the area in the fields of digital trade, technology trade and service outsourcing.
Additionally, a digital trade promotion platform in Lin-gang Special Area was officially launched on Jan 2.
The platform, mainly focusing on new forms of trade such as cloud services, digital audio-visual, game entertainment, digital reading and cross-border e-commerce, aims to build core functions such as overseas promotion, information sharing, project matching, copyright management and financial services.
So far, 20 enterprises have gone online on the platform.
