Qingpu in new stage with rooting of major projects
Qingpu district in Shanghai will strive to build three to five industrial platforms that do 100 billion yuan ($14.42 billion) in business and several industrial clusters generating 10 billion yuan within five to ten years to continuously improve the competitiveness of its economic development.
In 2020, Qingpu's logistics industry platforms will commit to exceeding one hundred billion yuan in activity, and its software information and modern business industrial clusters will reach a scale of 50 billion yuan. In addition, high-end equipment, medicine and medical equipment, new materials, automobiles (including parts) and other industrial clusters of 10-billion-yuan size, as well as exhibition and cross-border e-commerce industrial clusters will make great efforts to reach new levels.
In terms of attracting investment, Qingpu will focus on major industrial projects associated with famous enterprises in China such as Huawei and Midea Group and make every effort to speed up project construction and carry out in-depth investment in the upstream and downstream industry chain to make it a powerful engine driving the district’s regional development.
Qingpu will focus on the construction of the Yangtze River Delta eco-green integration development demonstration zones and strive to attract well-known domestic and foreign corporate headquarters and leading enterprise clusters.
