Lin-gang Special Area signs functional projects worth 20b yuan

The China (Shanghai) Pilot Free Trade Zone Lin-gang Special Area signed a number of functional projects with total investment of nearly 20 billion yuan ($2.91 billion) on Jan 13.

The projects mainly cover commerce, culture and tourism, sports and other urban functional supporting fields, such as a film and television industry base, a commercial block and a hot spring hotel.

The management committee of Lin-gang Special Area has reached a comprehensive strategic cooperation agreement with five market entities, including Haichang Group, Red Star Macalline Group Corp Ltd, Oriental Pearl Group Co Ltd and Overseas Chinese Town Holdings Company.

According to Oriental Pearl Group, the company will help Lin-gang Special Area introduce high-end technology, personnel, services and products from across the world, tailoring core products including food, accommodation, shopping, entertainment, and sport for Lin-gang.

The projects have finished site selection and will start construction this year, said Ji Xiaohong from the management committee of Lin-gang Special Area.
