To help foreign-funded enterprises to speed up resumption of production and to fully understand the difficulties and demands faced by foreign enterprises during the coronavirus epidemic, officials from Changning district in Shanghai carried out inspections at the regional headquarters of multinational corporations last month.

The number of regional headquarters of multinational corporations in Changning district ranks third among Shanghai's central areas. Combined with the characteristics of the export-oriented economy of Changning, leaders of the district attach great importance to the resumption of production by foreign-funded enterprises.

During a visit to Yamato (China), the enterprise raised the need for capital financing, and relevant government departments immediately agreed to give support. The enterprise said that the company's express delivery business is recovering gradually thanks to the business environment in Changning.

When visiting Michelin (China), district leaders brought epidemic prevention materials to the enterprise and provided it with corresponding policy support. The company signed an agreement to participate in the third China International Import Expo (CIIE) for the first time during a cloud signing ceremony organized by the CIIE bureau on Feb 26.

A total of 37 problems were identified during the visit from Feb 24 to 29, among which five were solved on the spot, 23 were solved by district departments and nine were submitted to municipal departments for coordination.
