Shanghai helps enterprises in industrial parks resume production
Shanghai has been helping its industrial parks resume production with a slew of supportive measures, as industrial parks are the core carriers of the integrated development of enterprises in the city.
Shanghai has helped enterprises solve practical problems encountered in returning to work, such as shortages in coronavirus epidemic prevention materials, difficulties in supporting supply chains, and shortage of circulating funds.
According to the latest data from Shanghai Commission of Economy and Informatization, the overall rate of enterprises resuming work in the city's national and municipal industrial parks is about 95 percent.
Among them, the recovery rate of enterprises above the designated scale – that is annual main business income over 20 million yuan ($2.82 million) – in Minhang Economic and Technological Development Zone, Shanghai Chemical Industry Park, Zhangjiang Science City, Jinqiao Development Zone, Caohejing Hi-tech Park, Shibei High-tech Park reached 100 percent.
The local government announced 28 measures to support enterprises that are battling the virus on Feb 8. This included rent relief for small and medium-sized enterprises leasing office spaces in State-owned industrial parks and office buildings.
