Projects worth 30b yuan signed in Huangpu district
Huangpu district in Shanghai recently rolled out "26 measures to promote investment" at a conference held in the district.
The 26 measures will increase policy support for leading talents and scientific and technological innovation teams who master core technologies and outstanding skills, and to give special awards to professional institutions and individuals who successfully introduce investment promotion projects.
Huangpu district will speed up the introduction of leading enterprises in new fashion, new consumption, e-sports, digital entertainment and other emerging industries.
In addition, deals were signed for several projects worth over 30 billion yuan ($4.21 billion) at the investment promotion conference.
China Electronics Corporation signed a contract with Huangpu district's culture and tourism bureau, and its Royal Never Give Up (RNG) e-sports club's main stadium will be settled in Huangpu. The two sides will work together to build the "Bund international e-sports cultural center".
The TX479 project on Nanjing East Road will introduce brand stores including Xiaomi, Japan's Kumamon flagship store, to create the first 24-hour core business center in Shanghai.
A number of first and flagship stores will bring a new atmosphere to Huaihai Road and Nanjing Road in Huangpu district. The world's largest chicken fast food chain, Popeyes, has signed to open its first flagship store in China on Huaihai Road.
