Shanghai and eight other cities in the neighboring Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Anhui provinces involved in the G60 Science and Innovation Corridor recently released more than 45,000 middle and high-end labor demands from over 3,800 enterprises through the G60 Science and Innovation Cloud platform.

According to officials, affected by the COVID-19 outbreak, enterprises are eager for all kinds of talents, and many college graduates are facing difficulties in job hunting. Based on the G60 Science and Innovation Cloud, 176 colleges in nine cities responded positively and have sent their graduates' information to corresponding positions. In just two days, more than 100 graduates achieved employment agreements.

The positions released mainly focus on artificial intelligence, integrated circuits, biomedicine and other strategic emerging industries.

Shanghai BioExcellence Co Ltd has been looking for suitable fresh graduates for the research and development of new products. Zhu Chunlin, the company's general manager, received dozens of resumes in just two days after he posted the recruitment information through the G60 cloud.

After a week of online interviews, the company finally recruited a group of college students, including Sun Xianzhi, a fresh graduate in environmental engineering from Shanghai University of Engineering Science.

"After the outbreak, I was in my hometown in Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region and was very worried," Sun said. "Now I have realized my dream of working in Shanghai. At present, the company has arranged a dormitory, and I'm about to leave for Shanghai to complete the contract and start work."

As for the "cloud" interview, Zhu said he could still learn about a candidate's professionalism from his or her conversation, so it was no different from face-to-face recruitment.
