The 2020 China Shanghai International Children's Book Fair (CCBF) will take place at the Shanghai World Expo Exhibition and Convention Center from Nov 13 to 15.

Covering 25,000 square meters, the fair is expected to attract more than 450 domestic and international exhibitors.

Launched in 2013, CCBF has quickly become an important event for the global publishing industry. It is the only fair in the Asia Pacific fully dedicated to books and specific content for children aged up to 16.

In 2018, CCBF opened an exciting new chapter by collaborating with Bologna Children's Book Fair (BCBF), which is organized by Italy's BolognaFiere Group. With a history of over 50 years, the BCBF is the largest children's literature fair in the world. The cooperation will better serve the Chinese publishing industry's current strategy to disseminate original content worldwide and bring the best international books to local readers.

Other than the exhibition itself, the fair offers multiple activities such as the Shanghai Visiting International Publishers Fellowship (SHVIP), the Golden Pinwheel Young Illustrators Competition, the Illustrators Survival Corner and the Chen Bochui International Children's Literature Award.

The 2019 CCBF attracted 418 exhibitors from 32 countries and regions. The three-day event attracted 40,978 visitors from 50 countries and regions, including 16,145 professional visitors.

The fair is organized by Shanghai Xinhua Distribution Group, China Education Publishing & Media Group and China Universal Press & Publication.
