CIIE attracts worldwide exhibitors despite epidemic
The second batch of 125 enterprises that will participate in the third China International Import Expo (CIIE) was released on April 1. Nearly one-sixth of the enterprises are participating for the first time.
According to Fu Changchun, general manager of the CIIE exhibition department, nearly 30 percent of the enterprises are Fortune Global 500 enterprises and industrial leaders, while a large proportion are small and medium-sized companies (SMEs).
"Providing buyers with relevant information about these high-quality SMEs in advance will help enhance their brand awareness in the Chinese market," said Fu.
Among the technology and equipment exhibitors, there are both Finnish exhibitors who have been focusing on the research and development of air purification technology for decades, and US exhibitors who have been leading the field in electric and hand tool manufacturing for many years.
The medical equipment, medicine and healthcare exhibitors will bring extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO), non-invasive and invasive ventilators, digital thermometers and other epidemic prevention related exhibits.
In addition, exhibitors such as Duisburger Hafen AG from Germany and Belgium-based Port of Antwerp will bring breakthrough technology and innovative services that can facilitate the operation of China-Europe freight trains.
