Shanghai-made protective clothing helps global epidemic prevention
As COVID-19 quickly spreads across the world, medical protective clothing is in short supply in many countries.
As the only medical protective clothing manufacturer in Shanghai recommended by the General Administration of Customs, MDK (Shanghai) Medical Packing has exported 150,000 items to Russia and Bangladesh, and another 100,000 are under production and will be sold to Myanmar, Israel and South Africa.
Currently, MDK is applying for the CE certification (EU standard). After passing the certification, Shanghai-made medical protective clothing is expected to be sold to Germany, the Netherlands and other European countries.
Before the COVID-19 outbreak, there were no companies in Shanghai making medical protective clothing. The Shanghai Municipal Commission of Economy and Informatization believes that MDK has the capacity to transform production, as the enterprise has a 100,000 level purification workshop, and is capable of long-term production of medical equipment packaging.
With the support of Shanghai government, MDK successfully transformed production during the Spring Festival and obtained the national registration certificate and production license for second-class medical devices.
