Inui Hiroshi, the general manager of Daikin Air Conditioning \r\n(Shanghai) Co. Ltd, was recently featured in a video in which he talked \r\nabout his passion for pursuing the spirit of craftsmanship.

The video is part of the "Shanghai Through Our Eyes" video series, \r\nwhich comprises 100 short videos produced by Xinmin Evening News to mark\r\n the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China \r\nthis year. The Information Office of the Shanghai Municipal People's \r\nGovernment launched the series last Thursday.

In the video, the Japanese, who has been living in Shanghai for 15 \r\nyears, spoke about how the manufacturing industry in Shanghai is \r\nundergoing a challenging period when labor costs are soaring and the \r\nspace for manufacturing is decreasing. These factors have made the \r\npursuit of craftsmanship even harder than before.

He pointed out that Shanghai is a dynamic city that provides the most\r\n liberal marketing environment in China, and that its willingness to \r\nabsorb new things makes it a place filled with opportunities and \r\npotentialities.

Hiroshi believes that under the good governance of the Chinese \r\ngovernment and the Communist Party of China, the country would be able \r\nto make full use of technologies to promote its future development and \r\nenhance its international competitiveness.

The Japanese also shared his thoughts about Shanghai's astonishing \r\ntransformation over the years, saying that an "increasing number of \r\nshopping malls and residential buildings are popping up in the city, and\r\n life is becoming more convenient".
