The much-anticipated Autumn/Winter 2023 Shanghai Fashion Week will be held on March 23-30, according to details released about the event at a press conference on March 15.

Shanghai Municipal Commission of Commerce Deputy Director Liu Min said the extravaganza will become a key platform that helps boost original designs and retail spending in the country – attracting a host of excellent domestic brands.

The week will feature both online and onsite events, including fashion catwalk parades, trade fairs and themed activities. Major landmarks in the city will turn into hot fashion spots for visitors to take pictures and post them on social media platforms.

The online digital fashion week section will partner with the popular short-video platform TikTok to present nine hours of uninterrupted live shows every day.

Liu said that Shanghai Fashion Week would help launch more new products, open more buyer shops and brand flagship stores – and also raise the profiles of more local brands nationally and internationally.
