Single Window joins forces with Adora Magic City cruise ship
In a significant development for China's growing passenger cruise liner industry, the China International Trade Single Window – known for short as the Single Window – and the operational management system of the Adora Magic City cruise liner joined forces.
They got together at a launch ceremony at the China Pavilion of the sixth China International Import Expo in East China's Shanghai on Nov 9.
The Single Window is a system that allows all parties in international trade to submit imports, exports, transshipments and related documents through a single, centralized platform.
As Asia's leading and the world's fourth-biggest cruise liner homeport, Shanghai has proactively boosted the development of its international cruise passenger industry so far this year.
The recent naming and delivery on Nov 4 of China's first domestically produced large cruise passenger ship – the Adora Magic City – marked a crucial milestone, moving the shipbuilding project to the acceptance and operational preparations stage.
The integration between the Single Window and Adora Magic City's operational management system is expected to facilitate seamless data exchanges.
Utilizing encrypted transmissions with unified standards, the Single Window is set to provide comprehensive port applications support for the passenger cruise liner, enhancing the overall safety and convenience of the travel experience for customers.
