A showcasing of premium agricultural offerings from Northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region – the 2023 Xinjiang Agricultural Products Trade Fair – concluded in East China's Shanghai on Dec 11 with reports of great success.

The event, held on Dec 8-11, saw 67.58 billion yuan ($945.44 million) in total supply orders signed.

Xinjiang's Kashgar prefecture stood out as a notable performer at the fair, with its trade delegation securing sterling results.

They inked deals for sales orders and investment projects totaling 46.91 billion yuan, taking up a whopping 69.4 percent of the fair's total transactions.

Over 200 showcased products from Kashgar emphasized the brand values of "green, quality, delicious and healthy" – proving a hit with both Shanghai enterprises and residents.

Most notably, 30 Kashgar agricultural products – including apples from Zepu county and dried plums from Payzawat county – received the prestigious title of "Most Popular Agricultural Products".

Over the course of four days, these products generated sales amounting to 345,800 yuan, with signed sales and intended orders reaching an impressive 28.91 billion yuan.

Furthermore, the Shanghai Aid to Xinjiang Front Command, in collaboration with relevant enterprises, sealed two significant projects during the trade fair, attracting investments of 15 billion yuan and 3 billion yuan, respectively.

These initiatives are said to not only represent substantial investments in Xinjiang's agricultural sector, but also serve as really positive examples – prompting attending enterprises to express their keen interest in exploring more investment in the region.
