As folks eagerly prepare for the arrival of the Year of the Dragon, captivating and artistically crafted installations are popping up across the vibrant streets and neighborhoods of the Changning district of East China's Shanghai.

One top spectacle is the grand lantern at Raffles City Changning – a multi-purpose complex in the district. Themed on "Auspicious Dragon Presents Blessings", it merges the tradition of Zigong Lanterns – Zigong city in Southwest China's Sichuan province is renowned for its lantern-making – with a modern artistic flair, visually expressing good wishes for the upcoming year.

If you examine a lantern closely, you'll be entranced by the intricate details of the Auspicious Dragon – from its dragon scales to whiskers and claws.

When illuminated at night, the dragon springs to life, symbolizing a vibrant start to the new year and inspiring everyone to embrace a spirited and dynamic outlook.

Beyond the theme of the Dragon's Spirit, Changning embraces other contemporary trends, sending out loads great vibes at the same time. In the square outside L'Avenue – a high-end shopping mall – a towering 7-meter snowman takes center stage. With a cake in hand and one knee on the ground, he warmly greets every passerby alongside with his cute snow dog.
