Shanghai Yuyuan Garden lights up to toast Lantern Festival

Yuyuan Garden in East China's Shanghai came alive with a dazzling display of lights on Feb 24.

The occasion was none other than the Lantern Festival and the garden was aglow with more than 1,000 lights, creating a mesmerizing atmosphere.

The grand garden resonated with the excited chatter of both local and international visitors who flocked to witness the illuminating spectacle.

Beyond the joy of admiring intricately crafted lanterns, visitors enjoyed strolling through the garden, savoring traditional delicacies, donning dragon-shaped hats and carrying dragon-shaped lanterns, among other things.

It's estimated that the 2024 Yuyuan Garden Lantern Festival, spanning 40 days, drew in more than 4 million visitors, generating a huge boost in holiday sales.
