The festival features health check-up zones, pharmacist consultations and health experience centers. Pharmacy chains are offering promotions on health products tailored to four key groups: Middle-aged and elderly individuals, working professionals and moms, as well as people with disabilities.
For those aged 50 and above, the focus is on addressing chronic diseases with products such as Rhodiola rosea, a plant used in traditional Chinese medicine for stress relief and overall wellness.
Working professionals can find supplements like multivitamins and herbal teas that aim to maintain health amid busy schedules.
Moms are being targeted with products for family health and their children's nutrition, including bird's nest soup and probiotics. Meanwhile, those with disabilities can access things like wheelchairs and hearing aids, with improved pharmacy services to assist them.
But the festival isn't just about products; it's also about education. As such, Shanghai plans to conduct health lectures and online broadcasts to spread awareness about wellness practices and chronic disease management.
With these initiatives in place, the city is aiming to promote a culture of health-conscious consumerism and to also provide accessible healthcare services to its residents.
