China International Technology Fair to be staged in Shanghai
The 10th China (Shanghai) International Technology Fair is to be staged on June 12-14 at the Shanghai World Expo Exhibition & Convention Center in East China's Shanghai.
Occupying a floor space of 35,000 square meters, the event will involve nearly 1,000 exhibitors.
Since its launch in 2013, the fair has expanded significantly, with the cumulative exhibition area exceeding 315,000 sq ms and attracting over 8,000 companies from around the world.
This year's fair, themed on "technology makes life more exciting", aims to boost Shanghai's role as a major technology hub.
The fair will focus on the technology trade, improving the exhibition quality and providing precise services to exhibitors. It will include five main exhibition areas, including digital technology, biomedical technology, as well as energy and low-carbon technology.
Notable activities will a theme day for East China's Zhejiang province – as the domestic guest of honor – featuring a special promotions conference on new productivity in development zones.
Moreover, the port city of Osaka in Japan – the international guest of honor – will celebrate the 50th anniversary of its sister city relations with Shanghai by hosting an Osaka business technology promotions conference, focusing on energy conservation, advanced manufacturing and healthcare.
