E-commerce platform BL.COM marks anniversary with huge sales
East China's Shanghai Shopping Festival is currently in full swing, with businesses in the city – including major players like retailing giant Bailian's e-commerce platform BL.COM – actively participating and helping to spark a rush of shopping excitement.
The recently concluded 25-day, 8th-anniversary celebration event marked a milestone for BL.COM, with several sales records being shattered.
Noteworthy achievements included a 110 percent year-on-year increase in sales of popular digital products and a whopping 130 percent rise in new member sign-ups, reflecting the event's broad appeal to fresh audiences.
On the anniversary day itself, BL.COM's live broadcast received over 10 thousand likes in just three minutes, underscoring the platform's popularity with shoppers.
Consumers also flocked to participate in the anniversary's community activities, with an awesome 170 percent increase in engagements compared with previous events. Categories such as fresh food, household cleaning, beauty, personal care and home appliances were among the top favorites.
BL.COM's anniversary celebration was said to be a blend of online and offline activities, featuring collaborations with both domestic and international brands.
Partnerships with 21 international giants paved the way for special brand days, driving cumulative sales figures into the tens of millions of yuan. Additionally, joint efforts with local partners attracted hordes of consumers to check-in at BL.COM's physical stores.
Moreover, in a bid to make a bigger social impact, BL.COM partnered with the Non-Profit Incubator, or NPI – an aggregation of several NGO Supporting organizations – to host a special event on its platform, showcasing products crafted by special groups.
