The Shanghai Fusheng Economic Development Zone – located in the Chongming district of East China's Shanghai – recently celebrated its 30th anniversary with the singing of a string of deals.

The Shanghai Fusheng Thirty Years of Excellence Investment Conference was held on June 24 at the newly established Fusheng Square in Chongming.

The event aimed to attract investment and provide a platform for business exchanges, drawing in high-quality enterprises.

During the conference, the Fusheng EDZ signed agreements with six companies, including Shanghai Yinjian Special Cable Co Ltd and Shanghai Fengzhidi Wind Power Technology Co Ltd.

The projects span such fields as intelligent manufacturing, biomedicine and new materials, with a total investment of about 550 million yuan ($75.69 million). Once operational, they're  expected to generate an annual output value of 800 million yuan and create nearly 400 new jobs locally.

Established in 1994, the Fusheng EDZ has grown significantly since then, merging with the Changxing Industrial Park in 2020 to form the Shanghai Changxing Enterprise Group.

The zone boasts strategic location advantages and convenient transportation links – contributing to its success in attracting over 10,000 enterprises and generating more than 10 billion yuan in economic contributions since its inception.

The conference highlighted Fusheng's focus on developing a green financial cluster, with a scale of assets under management  exceeding 100 billion yuan. The zone is also enhancing its financial reception capabilities to support high-quality development in intelligent manufacturing and emerging low-carbon industries.

Zhang Zhong, Party secretary and chairman of the Changxing Enterprise Group, emphasized the zone's commitment to upgrading its traditional manufacturing and fostering new green and leisure industries – in line with Chongming's modern eco-friendly  industrial system.
