Italian wine excellence goes on show at Shanghai exhibition
The Pudong district of East China's Shanghai hosted the Great 100 Italian Terroir Wineries wine event on July 5-7 – marking a significant occasion in the city's inaugural Shanghai Summer International Consumption Season.
Organized by prominent players including the Shanghai United Media Group and TerroirSense Wine Review – a leading wine publication and review platform focused on providing expert insights and evaluations of wines from various regions – the exhibition brought Italy's finest wines to Chinese soil.
The main public event on July 6 at the Mandarin Oriental Pudong Shanghai hotel saw an impressive turnout of over 60 top Italian wineries from 20 classic regions. Winery owners personally presented more than 330 exceptional wines, offering attendees a wide-ranging taste of Italy's diverse wine landscape.
In particular, July 7 featured popular specialized sessions – including a business networking event and a seminar on Italian terroir, fostering dialogue on market trends and future prospects in both the Chinese and Italian wine industries.
The exhibition is said to complement the China Wine Summit held in May – emphasizing the growing importance of cultural and economic exchanges in the wine sector between China and Italy.
