Three Danish enterprises—Aquaporin, Danfoss, and Grundfos—will showcase their innovative green technologies and solutions in the newly introduced new materials sector at the upcoming seventh China International Import Expo (CIIE). An unveiling ceremony took place at the Royal Danish Consulate General on Oct 21, with Consul General of Denmark in Shanghai, Mikael Hemniti Winther, presiding over the event alongside representatives from the three enterprises and officials from the CIIE.
Scheduled to run from Nov 5 to 10 at the National Exhibition and Convention Center in Shanghai, the 2024 CIIE is anticipated to draw exhibitors from 129 countries and regions, serving as a pivotal platform for fostering global trade and collaboration.
Aquaporin, a pioneering technology company specializing in ecological water filtration membranes, will mark its debut appearance at the CIIE this year. Zhou Zhijin, the company's commercial director, expressed her enthusiasm for the event, emphasizing the significance of bridging the gap in understanding the Chinese market. Zhou highlighted the CIIE as an unparalleled platform for unveiling their second-generation water filtration membrane technology breakthrough, underscoring the expo's role in facilitating cooperation opportunities and providing insights into industry trends and policies.
"There's no other platform like the CIIE," she said.
Danfoss, a company providing innovative and sustainable solutions across multiple industries, will be participating in the CIIE for the fifth time this year. The company plans to sign crucial memorandums of cooperation on-site at the upcoming expo, further solidifying its presence in the Chinese market through cutting-edge technologies.
Grundfos, renowned for its pump and water solutions, has been a steadfast participant at the CIIE since its inception in 2018. Lin Ziyi, a spokesperson for the company, affirmed their commitment to the Chinese market, emphasizing ongoing efforts to introduce new innovations at the expo. Lin disclosed plans to unveil four new innovations this year, building upon past successes that have seen the company forge numerous cooperation agreements worth millions of yuan. Aligning with China's green transition objectives, Grundfos aims to contribute advanced and intelligent products to enhance water efficiency in the industrial sector, further supporting China in achieving its climate goals.
Denmark's presence at the CIIE will extend beyond green technology, with a national pavilion themed around life science, health, and food.
