Tims China marks 1,000th store milestone in Shanghai
Tims China, a branch of the global coffee chain Tim Hortons, opened its 1,000th store in East China's Shanghai in October, marking five years since entering the Chinese market.
Since establishing its headquarters in Shanghai's Huangpu district in 2019, Tims China has expanded to 71 cities and built a customer base of over 23 million, securing its place among China's top coffee brands.

With its unique "coffee + warm food" concept, Tims has not only popularized coffee but also spurred a bagel trend, earning it the nickname "bagel expert" on social media.
In 2022, Tims sold nearly 10 million bagels across China, a number that doubled in 2023, bringing the total to 50 million that year.
Tims China's Chief Executive Officer Lou Yongchen attributes this exponential growth to a commitment to freshness and health-focused menu options that are low in sugar and oil, tailored to meet the growing demand for healthier choices among young urban professionals.
In addition to its expanding network, Tims China has announced a $97 million investment to deepen its presence in the Chinese market.
Lou emphasized Huangpu district's supportive business environment, which has been instrumental in Tims' rapid growth, allowing for the seamless establishment of stores in other cities through innovative remote administrative services.
With its new slogan, "Fresh is Delicious, Health is Low-Burden", Tims China aims to continue delivering high-quality, health-conscious products that fit easily into customers' daily lives.
