The 7th China International Import Expo, or CIIE, opened on Nov 5 in East China's Shanghai – with one immediate hit being a range of new and specialized industrial achievements that are being showcased in the Technology and Equipment Exhibition area.

Among them are exhibits from Shanghai's Lin-gang Special Area, a powerhouse of industrial innovation in the city.

The Lin-gang pavilion at CIIE – organized by the Lin-gang Special Area Administration and the Lin-gang Group – is hosting nearly 70 international companies from 20 countries and regions at the expo, including participants from the US, UK, Japan, Germany, France, Switzerland and Italy.

The pavilion highlights advances in high-end equipment manufacturing, smart new energy vehicles, biomedicine, artificial intelligence and hydrogen energy.

"After its debut at the 6th CIIE, the Lin-gang pavilion continues to provide foreign businesses with a platform to showcase achievements, expand networks and find new growth opportunities," said a spokesman for the Lin-gang Group.

Among the exhibitors, a dozen foreign companies based in the Lin-gang area are presenting their latest innovations. Highlights include the Prominent's Sigma intelligent diaphragm dosing pump and the latest LNG membrane technology from FagiTech, a leader in liquefied natural gas storage.

The pavilion is also collaborating with overseas partners – including Japan's Mizuho Group, Italy's Gala Group and Hong Kong's Cyberport – bringing a variety of advanced technologies and solutions.

What's more, throughout the expo the Lin-gang pavilion will host 19 high-level activities – focusing on investment promotion, business matching and international cooperation.
